Red Sweet Pepper Cream Soup Recipe

The pepper plant is a herbaceous perennial habit in the wild, but cultivated as an annual in most cases, because of its susceptibility to frost and chilling injury.

These are annual shrub and reach 75 cm in height.

Dichotomous branching stem shows the branches and leaves have medium size, entire, oval-oblong, glabrous and bright green.

The flowers are perfect and occur solitary in the axils of the branches, are small (1 cm), with toothed calyx, five white petals and anthers yellow-blue or purple.

The fruit of the species is a berry is highly variable, with weights ranging from a few grams to half a kilo, the shape varies from round, heart-shaped, tapered, cylindrical and square, with external color from white to black, although predominantly yellows, greens and reds.

They are eaten green, appreciated for its characteristic taste.

Besides eating them fresh, cooked, or as a condiment or spice "in foods of various countries, a large range of industrial products used in human food: frozen, dried, pickled, canned pastas and sauces.
